Interior Space

The Tahoe seats up to eight passengers while the Traverse can accommodate up to nine with a front-row bench. The Traverse gives you best-in-class cargo space of about 23 cubic feet, which expands to nearly 57 or 98 cubic feet as you fold down each row. The Tahoe provides 25.5 cubic feet in the rear, 72.5 cubic feet behind the second row, and almost 123 cubic feet behind the first row. ​

Power and Performance

The third choice, a turbo-diesel inline-six, gets an upgrade for 2025 to 305 hp and 495 pound-feet of torque. All come with rear-wheel or four-wheel drive and a 10-speed automatic transmission. This engine gets an economical 27 highway miles per gallon while the Traverse gets up to 28 highway mpg.

Tech Features

These SUVs share a standard 17.7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Common standard tech includes a Wi-Fi hotspot, wireless charging, navigation, a six-speaker stereo with satellite radio, and multiple USB ports. Each model also comes with an 11-inch digital instrument panel.

Both Chevy models have the latest driver assistance features. Take advantage of standard automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, rear pedestrian detection, and rear cross-traffic alert. The Traverse features standard heated front seats and a heated steering wheel, both optional features for the Tahoe. The larger SUV has standard power-adjustable front seats while the Traverse has a standard power driver’s seat and an optional power passenger’s seat. Both models come with proximity keyless entry and tri-zone automatic climate control. The Tahoe adds remote start across the lineup.
