Every new Chevy has a range of warranties that cover it against any issue with the materials or labor that went into manufacturing it. In the unlikely event of any issue with your new Chevy, the affected component or system will be repaired or replaced at no cost. As your Chevy dealer, we’d like to guide you through the most important sections of your 2024 Chevy warranty.
From Your Chevy Dealer: Navigating Your 2024 Chevy Warranty
Bumper-to-Bumper Limited Warranty
This limited warranty covers your entire vehicle, except for components protected by other warranties. Its coverage lasts for three years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first. Any issue covered by this warranty will be corrected for free. It also protects your tires against labor or manufacturing-related defects.
If your Chevy needs towing for a warranty-related repair, it will be towed for free to the nearest authorized dealer. Some types of damage are specifically excluded from warranty protection. These include unauthorized alternations, damage caused by lack of maintenance, or accidental damage. These types of damage can be repaired but are treated as regular repairs and will be charged for.
Powertrain Limited Warranty
The powertrain consists of your Chevy’s most important and costly systems. These include the engine, transmission, and the drivetrain. If your Chevy has a transaxle, it’s also protected by this warranty. The full list of components covered by this warranty can be found in the warranty booklet. Covered components include the timing gears, oil pump, internal transmission components, universal joints, and final-drive housings.
Warranty coverage extends for the first five years or 60,000 miles. Components like the radiator, sensors, and wiring are not covered, as they are protected by other warranties.
Emissions Control Limited Warranty
The emissions system is responsible for converting dangerous chemicals produced by combustion into harmless ones. Most emissions components are protected against manufacturing or labor-related issues for two years or 24,000 miles.
The catalytic converter, transmission control module, and engine control module have long-term coverage which applies to eight years or 80,000 miles.
Corrosion Protection
All the body and sheet metal in your Chevy is protected against corrosion for three years or 36,000 miles.
Rust-Through Protection
Rust-through is damage to a metal section that penetrates the metal from one side to the other and forms a hole. Any sheet or body metal that suffers this type of damage during the warranty period will be replaced. This warranty applies for six years or 100,000 miles.
Additional Benefits
During the warranty period, roadside assistance is available 24/7/365. In addition, your first maintenance visit to an authorized dealer is free and includes a tire rotation, oil change, and multi-point inspection.
