2023 Chevrolet Colorado

The 2023 Colorado has five trims to choose from: the WT, LT, all-new Trail Boss, Z71, and ZR2. The last three make up this model's off-road lineup thanks to features on some models like 18-inch wheels with all-terrain tires, a wider chassis, a 3-inch factory-installed lift, a rocker panel protector, and an aluminum performance skid plate. The special edition Desert Boss is even more notable with underbody cameras, an off-road front bumper with a safari bar, a bed-mounted sport bar with a ZR2 sail panel, a 40-inch off-road light bar, and Front Fender, Bodyside, and Tailgate Decal packages.

Across the trims, you'll see a 2.7-liter Turbo engine under the hood mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The difference is the output. While different outputs are available, the standard for the WT and LT is 237 horsepower, and for the Trail Boss and Z71 it's 310 horsepower, each with 260 pound-feet of torque. The ZR2 comes standard with a 2.7-liter High-Output engine that produces 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque.

This Chevy gets high marks for performance, offering up to a best-in-class 7,700-pound max trailering weight and a max payload capacity of 1,710 pounds. You can get up to five drive modes for peak performance no matter where life takes you. These are Normal, Tow/Haul, Terrain, Off-Road, and Baja. Let's not forget the all-new first-in-class available StowFlex Tailgate that offers a built-in lockable storage compartment that includes a drain, making it the perfect place to store tools, snacks, or drinks depending on what the day has in store.
